Is the temperature inside the pot higher with the vegetable window than with the roasting window?Updated 13 days ago

Great question! The roasting window comes first because the pot or pan is heated up empty. Without moisture inside, the temperature rises more slowly to the Sensotherm reading than in a pot full of veggies.

In the roasting window, the air inside the pot reaches about 50°C, while the bottom of the pot gets nice and hot—between 180 and 250°C, depending on the pot’s size.

For the vegetable window, once your pot is filled with delicious veggies, the temperature inside the pot climbs to 80°C, perfect for locking in nutrients and flavor.
